The Course
The certificate is valid for 3 years and before the expiry date first aiders will need to undertake a First Aid At Work Re-qualification course to obtain another 3 year certificate.
Cognet can provide a choice of certification for this course. Firstly we offer our own certificates which are approved by the First Aid Industry Body which reflects that we have held continuous Health and Safety Executive approval to deliver First Aid at Work Training since 1992 until de-regulation by the Government in October 2013.
In addition for those requiring a Level 3 Ofqual regulated course we are able to provide assessment and certification through Qualifications Network (QNUK)
Blended Learning Option
Blended learning is a type of learning that combines online digital media with traditional classroom delivery. As online or E-Learning has become a popular method of learning over recent years there have been efforts to incorporate it in to a wider learning experience.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) now state that blended learning is an accepted method for delivery of first aid training. Cognet now offer a blended learning option in both the First Aid At Work and Paediatric First Aid qualifications. The FAIB approved Online course typically replaces day 1 of each course. Some learners and employers benefit from less time in the classroom and the ability to use the online element to learn at their own pace and in their own time.
The benefit to you is that you no longer need to attend three days of the course to achieve this qualification. The Online course can be completed in your own time and at your own pace and then you can attend one of our public dates to complete the course.
If you would like further information about the blended learning option please contact us using the contact form or call Craig on 01905 745457.
