QNUK Level 2 Award in Principles of Safe Administration of Medication in Health and Social Care (RQF) course has been designed to provide learners who are new in the health and social care sector and require the underpinning knowledge to address the Skills for Care Common Induction Standards as well as support learners with their professional development. Our medication training course will help them to understand their roles and responsibilities in the Workplace.

A one day medication training course designed for the learners to be able to recognise the necessity for correct management of all medicines within the workplace. They will be expected to utilise their current background knowledge and experience in this area – be it within their own workplace or the home environment.

This course has been mapped to the common induction standards (CIS) and the Health and Social Care (HSC) National Occupational Standards (NOS) in Assist in the Administration of Medication (level 2)

Our medication training course is designed to enable the learner to safely administer medication to those individuals in their caring environment. It is aimed at those staff that have no formal nursing experience or registration. E.g., all staff working in health and social care, early years childcare professionals, teaching and support staff

Course materials will include such items as medication pots, spoons, syringes, blister packs, MAR sheets etc.

Course Duration:

This course is 6 hours in duration, usually deliver over one day.

Assessment is by Multiple-choice Questionnaire and optional Workplace-based workbook and competencies.

This course can be tailored to client needs and extended where necessary.

Awarding Body / Certification:

QNUK Certificate of Achievement valid for 3 Years (RCF)

 

Course Requirements / Notes:

Learners will need to bring photo ID with them (Driving licence, passport, Work ID etc.)
